IN THE BEGINNING

I tell people I was born in the shadow of a pyramid, but it was actually a coal heap.

Blighted by Asthma from an early age, I remember attending school and during classes, on certain days they took me on a bus to a large red-bricked building, down lemon coloured corridors and into a large sparse room. They handed me a straw and a ping pong ball and told me to blow the ball from one side of the room to the other. I then was taken back to school to resume my intermittent education.

The Cinema of Hyperventilation

Shortness of breath is called dyspnea which caused parasomnia, a sleep disorder that involves unusual and undesirable physical events or experiences that disrupt your sleep. I wavered between waking and dreaming and my nightmares were extraordinarily real. These experiences helped me understand altered states.
